Describe how gender roles or patriarchy influence your identity?

Prompt response: As a girl, Gender roles have influenced my identity by how people see me and what they expect me to be like. For example, girls are often expected to be a stay at-home mom and clean the house, while boys are encouraged to come home to food being served already. We as girls are also often expected to dress classy and professionally and be focused on how we look. These expectations can make me feel like I need to fit in to be considered a normal girl instead of being myself.

Summary: Today, we learned about how gender roles are seen.

Reflection: Today I learned that no matter how you're supposed to be seen, just be how you're comfortable being seen around.
