  Prompt Response:  There was one time when I though sushi was weird and only for people who like raw fish.I believed this because I had only seen it in movies or heard people say it was gross.Then one day I tired it with my friends and my perspective changed.I realized not all sushi is raw and there are many different types with cooked ingredients.The flavors were actually really good and I enjoyed the experience.This moment helped me understand that my opinion was based on a stereotype and it taught me to be more open  minded about different foods and cultures.   Prompt Response:  In the New Orleans episode of street food USA food is shown as  ore than just something people eat because it connects to culture and community.One example is Gumbo. Gumbo reflects a mixture of cultures including African,French,and native American influences.It shows how different traditions come together to create something unique.The people making Gumbo often talk about their history and family recipes, which show that the dish represents identity and pride. Summary:  Today in class we watched a New Orleans episode of street food and filled out a sheet of foods we saw and the importance of them. Reflection:  Today was a quick and easy day.

  Prompt Response:  One dish from my culture that is very Important is tamales.Tamales are made with corn dough filled with meat or other fillings,then wrapped in corn husk and steamed.This dish is significant because it is often made during holidays and family gatherings like Christmas. Making tamales is usually a group activity where family members come together to prepare them.Its a way of keeping culture And family bonds strong. Summary: Today in class we read a poem then completed a chart of family we eat at different events within our culture. Reflection:  Today was an amazing day.

  Prompt Response:  One meaningful memory I have connected to food is eating Mexican sopes with my family .We would make them together at home,starting with the masa also known as flour,shaping them into big circles,and then adding the topping like beans, lettuce,cheese.This experience helped me understand the importance of family and culture.Making sopes was something passed down and it connected me to my background.   Prompt Response:  The writing process made my essays stronger because each step improved something different. Brainstorming helped me plan my ideas,drafting them got them down, and revising helped me fix unclear parts and add extra details I needed.I learned that I'm good at coming up with ideas but I need to improve how clearly I explain them and connect them to each ideas or detail. Summary: Today in class we wrote the final essay. Reflection:  Today was a great day.

  Prompt Response:  Drafting is important because it helps improve the ideas instead of trying to make everything perfect the first time.Drafting helped me see my mistakes and make my writing stronger.It also helped me think more clearly about what I was trying to say.   Prompt Response:  When I write essays the part I struggle with the most is developing a strong thesis and organizing my ideas clearly.Sometimes i know what to say but its hard to put it into a clear main point and structure everything in a way that goes well.I feel most comfortable when writing body paragraphs especially explain my ideas once I understand the topic.I can usually support my points with quotes and examples.To improve my goal is to spend more time planning before I start writing and making sure my thesis is clear from the beginning.   Prompt Response:  The most strongest idea I came up with for my essays was how the loss makes Cheryl feel lost and disconnected from who she use to be before.It made me choose it because it is easy to support with strong evidence and directly connects to the prompt about loss and identity. Summary: Today in class we picked our wild prompt and created a cluster for our essay. Reflection:  Today was a quick and calm class day.

After completing the assignments on making college affordable and finding the best college fit, what is one thing you learned that you did not know before? Why do you think this information is important for seniors to understand?

  Prompt Response:  One thing that I've learned that I didn't know was that the actual cost of college can be very different from the listed price because of financial aid and scholarships.I didn't realize how much aid can vary between schools.This information is important for seniors because it helps them make better choices and not rule out colleges just based on the sticker price. Summary: Today in class we did 2 Common Lit about best fit for college and making college affordable. Reflection:  Today was a great day.

  Prompt Response:  As the semester ends my top 3 college choices right now is Gwinnett Technical College, Emory University, and Central Georgia Technical College. Gwinnett Technical College stands out because it offers hands on and career focused programs that can help me get into the workforce quickly.It also seems like a good affordable and close starting point.Emory University attracts me because of its strong academics and reputation.I like the idea of being challenged and having access to more opportunities. Central Georgia Technical College is another option because it is affordable and provides practical skills in a supportive environment. Summary:  Today I wasn't here in class. Reflection:  Today was a peaceful day for me.

Today we discussed why academic writing must reflect your own thinking and understanding rather than relying on artificial intelligence to generate your ideas.   Prompt Response:  It is important for students to write their own essay in their own words because it shows their understanding of the topic their working on. Writing our own ideas help us think more deeply and improve our skills.If we always rely on A.I. to do always do our work we wouldn't learn anything anymore.Teachers also need to know what we can do on our own and if what their teaching is helping us.Writing in our own words makes us unique and become better writers. Summary: Today in class we watched 2 videos about Artificial intelligence and answered questions about it,then keep working on our assignment on writable,and also finish up our blog posts.  Reflection:  Today was a great Friday and easy class day.

The process of Creating our paragraph

  Prompt Response:   When creating my paragraph, I first focused on how Cheryl faces discomfort through physical hardship. I chose the example of the heavy backpack called “Monster” because it shows how difficult the hike is for her. Then I found quotes that described how exhausted and physically strained she felt while carrying it. Finally, I explained how pushing through that pain helped Cheryl grow stronger. Summary: Today in class we finished up creating our literary analysis body paragraph. Reflection:  Today was a calm day to catch up on all our work.

Today we focused on constructing a strong literary argument paragraph about Wild and whether discomfort is necessary for meaningful personal growth. After working through the claim-evidence-analysis structure, explain which part of the paragraph was most challenging for you and why. Do you find it more difficult to create an arguable claim or to move beyond summary in your analysis?

  Prompt Response:  The most challenging part for me was the analysis.It was easier to find evidence from Wild but it was harder to explain how the evidence supported my claim.Sometimes I catch myself repeating what happened instead of explaining why it matters.Creating a claim was not as difficult because I already had an idea about my topic.I find it more difficult to move beyond summary in your analysis Summary: Today in class we worked on a worksheet about literacy argument on the book Wild. Reflection:  Today was a quick and easy chill day in class.

  Prompt Response:  Writing essays can be both interesting and a challenge for me.I like coming up with my own ideas and organizing them into clear paragraphs.One of my strengths as a writer is explaining my ideas and supporting them with examples.For example when I'm writing for any English class I like to research my topic and find evidence that support my main idea.Sometimes I struggle with writing strong introduction and making my writing sound good.One example is I sometimes repeat similar ideas in different paragraphs or use a word too many times.I want to improve by practicing more time editing my essays before I turn them in Summary: Today in class we read some of chapter 16 of Wild and then did a worksheet where we filled in sentences ourselves about what we read. Reflection:  Today was a quick and easy day.

The process of creating the digital poster

  Prompt Response:  The process of the digital poster was not hard but it was a pretty easy and quick project.To complete the poster all of the metaphors and similes needed to be done first to be able to put any pictures.I did create template first then add all the pictures.I made sure to put everything that was required and made sure all metaphors and similes were on one side, Summary: Today in class we kept working on our digital posters. Reflection:  Today was a quiet and easy going class period.
