Write about a time when you realized that your perception of a particular food was based on a stereotype. Explain what the food was, what you originally believed about it, and where that belief came from. Then describe how your perspective changed after experiencing or learning more about the food. Be sure to include specific details about the moment your thinking shifted and what you learned from that experience.

Prompt Response: There was one time when I though sushi was weird and only for people who like raw fish.I believed this because I had only seen it in movies or heard people say it was gross. Then one day I tired it with my friends and my perspective changed.I realized not all sushi is raw and there are many different types with cooked ingredients. The flavors were actually really good and I enjoyed the experience. This moment helped me understand that my opinion was based on a stereotype and it taught me to be more open  minded about different foods and cultures.

Summary: Today in class we started working on our digital posters about our cultural foods in different events.

Reflection: Today was a quick and quiet day.
