Reflect on a time when you or someone you know had to choose between fitting in and staying true to their identity; what was gained or lost in that experience?

Much of this section focuses on Cheryl’s physical exhaustion and discomfort. Describe a moment when your body limited what you could do, and explain what that experience taught you about your mental strength.

Prompt Response:   A moment when my body limited what I could do was during a long day when I was extremely tired and sore, but I still had responsibilities to finish. I remember wanting to give up because my body felt weak and uncomfortable. However, I pushed myself to keep going even if it meant I had to take it slow and take breaks. This experience taught me that my mental strength is often stronger than my physical limits. Even when my body feels exhausted, my mindset can help me stay focused and determined. Reflect on a time when you had to rely on someone else. How did it feel?

Prompt Response:  A time I had to rely on someone else was when I hurt my ankle and needed my friend to help me get around. It felt awkward at first, but I was also grateful. In Wild, Cheryl Strayed writes about the difference between deciding to do something and actually committing to it: “There was the first, flip decision to do it, followed by the second, more serious decision to actually do it.” Reflect on a time in your own life when you made a quick or casual decision that later required a deeper commitment. Describe what changed between the first decision and the moment you realized you truly had to follow through. What fears, challenges, or responsibilities became real once the decision was no longer just an idea?

Prompt Response:  A time this happened to me was when I decided to join JROTC at first. At first, it seemed like a simple decision because I thought it would look good and be interesting.Once I actually joined, I realized it required a lot of commitment.   Prompt Response:  I spent my holiday playing with my niece and spending time with my family and friends. I stayed home for the whole break, which was boring but a calm break, except for 1 day.  The first goal that I want to achieve this year is getting closer to God .   This goal is important because I've been wanting to learn more about my religion but never had  intrest  until now.   To accomplish this goal, I will make sure to at least read the Bible every morning and night and at least annotate 3 verses each time, by the end of the year I will have known more about my religion and what everything means in the Bible. The second goal that I want to achieve this year is to get my driver's license.   This goal is important because I want  to  help take my mom to work and go out with friends without an adult.   To accomplish this goal, I will get any family member to help me out on the weekends, take online tests, and watch videos ...
