Today you created similes and metaphors that reflect your struggles, growth, and resilience. In a well-developed paragraph, reflect on the process. What did you learn about yourself while writing your figurative language?

Prompt Response: While writing the similes and metaphors i learned more about how i view challenges and personal growth.I realized that i tend to see struggle as things that help me become stronger rather than things that define me.Thinking about resilience helped me understand that pressure and self-doubt are sometimes part of improvement. The process also showed me that I like using creative language to express my emotions and experiences.Over all I learned that my growth often comes from pushing through challenges I face.

Summary: Today in class we wrote 6 similes and 6 metaphors that reflected our struggle, growth, identity, and resilience.

Reflection: Today was a good day in class and I loved how we got to express ourselves and our situations on the worksheet.
