Why do you think filmmakers continue to use stereotypes, even when they can be harmful or inaccurate? Explain one reason discussed in class and give your opinion on whether this justifies their use.

Prompt Response: Film makers still use stereotypes because they’re easy and people already recognize them. It saves time since they don’t have to fully develop a character, and audiences understand right away. One reason we talked about in class is that stereotypes make movies simpler and more likely to make money, because they stick to what people expect.I don’t think that really justifies using them though.

Summary:Today in class we worked on missing assignments.

Reflection: Today was a good and easy day.
